NEA approves a plan to promote critical race theory in all school districts

Go for it. The problem with court cases is you have to have facts on your side. If you don't have facts on your side, then the courts will require you to pay for all the court costs of the other side. I'm sure the Teacher's union would love for you to pay all their lawyer fees.

I'll take note that you don't file this lawsuit any time soon.

No, in civil court issues like this would be, the objective isn't to win but to run the other party out of money.

I'm more than happy to defend CRT, but you're not happy to defend Trump.

Well, so far you've done a crap job of defending CRT while I don't have to defend Trump at all. Or, are you forgetting that I'm not one of his fans?

You actually agree with the fundamental principles of CRT because, according to you, you judge people by their character not the color of their skin.

What do you believe the "fundamental principles of CRT" are? As to the second, you're correct the content of their character matters, not their ethnicity or family history--in terms of where they came from or lived.
CRT certainly does not advocate judging people by their character and does advocate judging people by the color of their skin. "All Whites are racist," and "Blacks can't be racist because they are oppressed" alone proves that. CRT judges people by the racial they are pigeon holed into by the artificial rules imposed by CRT. As I have stated before, CRT is just a variant of Marx's class struggle based on race rather than economics status. Kimberle Crenshaw, probably the leading "authority" on CRT--seeing as how she was one of the first to truly invent it and who is a Marxist Communist--makes that clear. For her, CRT is an extension of her invented "Intersectionality" nonsense.

The problem is you have to have enough of a case to actually get to that point where you can drag it out to try to bleed the other side of it's cash. When you don't have facts on your side then you quickly lose, often in initial pleadings and then you get to pay the lawyers for the other side. When the teachers can simply point to the facts they want to teach and you have to resort to claiming that facts aren't really facts but instead you want to requires they should be teaching non-facts, you won't last long in court.

I note you haven't yet filed your case. I wonder why.

NEA approves a plan to promote critical race theory in all school districts

The NEA does not determine curricula for school districts. It was a resolution passed by the representative assembly at the NEA convention which the NEA does not even have to follow unless they appropriate money. Members pass many resolutions dealing with all kinds of issues.

All the elements of CRT have been around for many years and most of you have heard the claims even though few have taken a CRT course.

Well, so far you've done a crap job of defending CRT while I don't have to defend Trump at all.

Just because you refuse to accept the premise of institutional and systemic racism doesn't mean I've failed to defend CRT, it means you've failed to confront it.

What do you believe the "fundamental principles of CRT" are?

That America's institutions were founded by white supremacists who rigged the rules in order to give themselves generational advantage over minorities and immigrants, and that the path to correct those wrongs starts by acknowledging their existence.

That's what it is, and for some reason, that really gets under your skin.

I believe the reason it gets under your skin is because you convinced yourself that you achieved what you achieved in life through your hard work and effort, and didn't have institutional and systemic advantages over other people. But the reality that you are afraid to confront is that your achievements and accomplishments weren't truly earned because you had an institutional advantage, so that undermines your confidence in your own accomplishments because you can't pretend like you achieved them solely through your own individual "effort".

Basically, you don't want to admit that even though you got all these advantages in life, you still amounted to nothing in the end.

You need to work through that shit in therapy because I'm 100% confident that's the reason you're so angry, resentful, and emotional today.

No it doesn't.

By educating people on the racist history of this country, it undermines your own persona that you've created for the benefit of JPP; namely this "rugged individualist" who struggled and toiled and worked hard in life to achieve relative mediocrity today.

ALL TOTAL BULLSHIT.

That's why you are the way you are; life didn't work out the way you thought it would, and that has left you bitter, angry, and resentful.

So you blame CRT for making you feel like shit for failing to take advantage of a system designed specifically for you.

Even with that system, the best you could do in life is your present state...and I think you see it as a personal failure.

I think you want people to think that you are a "rugged individualist" because in your mind that justifies the disappointing complacency you clearly have.

CRT judges people by the racial they are pigeon holed into by the artificial rules imposed by CRT.

This is conspiratorial consciousness of guilt. You know that the system is rigged in your favor, and are afraid that if people learned it was, your life accomplishments would mean a helluva lot less than you want them to, and your ego simply cannot handle that bruising.

I mean, look how emotional you are on this thread...look how emotional you become the moment it's suggested that "you didn't build that".

You take CRT personally because it shines the light directly on your personal failures to succeed in a system that was designed for you to succeed.

"All Whites are racist," and "Blacks can't be racist because they are oppressed" alone proves that.

Where is that written in any CRT materials or essays or papers or columns or syllabi or anything...?

Just to be clear what you did here...you quoted this...which means you now have to cite it. Something tells me that you aren't going to be able to do that.

So what this amounts to is "take my word for it, this is really what CRT is". Why the fuck should I take your word for it?

This is you taking CRT to hyperbole in an effort to dismiss it so you don't have to acknowledge that systemic racism exists, and that you failed to properly take advantage of it.

CRT judges people by the racial they are pigeon holed into by the artificial rules imposed by CRT.

Rules you've been unable to state or articulate using original text, even when you've been asked by multiple people to do that on multiple threads, and then you ran away from all those questions like a little bitch.

The best you could do was to plagiarize Op-Eds as a substitute for the critical thinking you should have done instead, but were either too lazy, disinterested, or obtuse to consider.

As I have stated before, CRT is just a variant of Marx's class struggle based on race rather than economics status.

You've been unable to support this using actual text from anyt CRT materials.

The best you can do is steal Op-Eds from other people that don't even QUOTE CRT materials.

Like how you totally fucked up Pedagogy of the Oppressed, failing to show where it claims any of the things you claimed it did.

You had to stretch the definition and redraw the parameters in order to make an argument against education.

Let's be clear, you do not want kids to learn the racist history of this country because if they did, they'd look at you like you're a fucking idiot for not taking advantage of it.

Progressives such as MSNBC host Joy Reid can no longer disingenuously claim that critical race theory is only taught in law schools or that it is only a “lens” for examining American history. The teachers union has nationalized critical race theory and committed to the full range of left-wing radicalism, including opposition to “capitalism” and “anthropocentrism.” at the grade school level.

The nation’s largest teachers union has approved a plan to promote critical race theory in all 50 states and 14,000 local school districts.

Over the weekend, the National Education Association (NEA) held its annual Representative Assembly, with delegates from across the United States voting on priorities and allocating funding for the upcoming school year, with the ideology of critical race theory — a form of race-based Marxism — taking center stage.

The union, which represents
3 million public school employees, approved funding for three separate items related to this issue:
“increasing the implementation” of “critical race theory” in K-12 curricula, promoting critical race theory in local school districts, and attacking opponents of critical race theory, including parent organizations and conservative research centers.

This is a significant reversal. For the past month, liberal pundits and activists have insisted that critical race theory is not taught in K-12 schools. This was always a bad-faith claim — critical race theory has made inroads in public schools for more than a decade — but the NEA’s official endorsement is the final nail in the coffin.

In the resolution, the union agreed to publicly “convey its support” for critical race theory, oppose restrictions in state legislatures, and use schools for political activism. The delegates pledged to “join with Black Lives Matter at School and the Zinn Education Project” to hold a “national day of action” on George Floyd’s birthday, recruiting teachers to hold political demonstrations and “teach lessons about structural racism and oppression.”

The resolution also promised to develop a study to critique “empire, white supremacy, anti-Blackness, anti-Indigeneity, racism, patriarchy, cisheteropatriarchy, capitalism, ableism, [and] anthropocentrism” — that is, adopting the most fashionable and intellectually bankrupt ideas from the universities and bringing them into grade-school classrooms.
