NEA approves a plan to promote critical race theory in all school districts

I am. It's possible that the daughter misrepresented what this alleged "educator" said.

Also, there is no curriculum for CRT. Or else they would have shown it by now. How about even the lesson plans? Just one?

CRT is a nice distraction from the fact that nearly every Republican supported the insurrection on 1/6, and had they been successful, would have executed elected Representatives and Senators.

So don't even let them talk about CRT without having them first answer for their actions on, around, and before 1/6.

It’s not my ‘myth’, it’s the opinion of the black parent in the clip I posted. And he didn’t hear about it on Fox—he was talking from personal experience.

I suppose the Uncle Tom thing can be invoked since he’s black. Or democrats can try to convince themselves such individuals are outliers but I suspect the reality is something else.

Why are democrats determined to die on this hill when it’s apparent that resistance to CRT crosses several politically important lines?

When you repeat a myth expounded by someone else it becomes your myth as well. You can't run away from it if you continue to try to use it as a basis for your argument.

How did they manage so long without it?

They didn't manage.

That's why it took an HBO show to teach people about the Tulsa Massacre, which should have been taught in schools within the context of the Red Summer of White Racial Violence that began in 1918.

You don't want kids to learn about that since you feel guilty for it because you would have obviously supported it.

I’m not an authority on CRT [I have a suspicion many teachers aren’t as well] so I can’t answer that. It would certainly explain some things.

What I do know, is that there is a backlash against it and you can blame it on Fox News but you can easily be wrong. And I strongly suspect you are wrong.

Nope. Not wrong. If I am wrong, we would have already have a proof, wouldn't we? So far, nada. Zilch. Zip.

Btw, how does one teach about racism? Expound on that for the class.

Well, you can go ahead and put the dunce cap on and sit in the corner as I lecture you on systemic racism in modern practice; namely that it took an HBO show to educate people about the Tulsa Massacre, "sundown laws", and the capture and abuse of Black bodies after slavery but before the end of Jim Crow.

I bet $1,000 you didn't even know about the Red Summer until I mentioned it on this thread.

No, the backlash is a distraction from your own actions that led to the 1/6 insurrection, of which you are absolutely guilty.

You were on JPP spreading lie after lie about the election being stolen, and those lies convinced enough soft heads to go to DC and attack the Capitol.

But you weren't among them, even though you were riling them up.

There's a word for someone like that...

Would you feel ‘guilty’ [I have nothing to feel ‘guilty’ about with regards to the topic] if kids were taught about the importance of black slave traders in Africa during the European slave trade?

And how do you know that YOU shouldn’t feel historically ‘guilty’ about that aspect?

What is "the importance"? Articulate it. Use your words, not your emotions.

The teacher's union doesn't get to set curricula in public schools. The best remedy for their trying to do so is to start a class action lawsuit against locals that scales up to state wide and then national level. Nothing will make this idea go away faster than the threat of the union being bankrupted in court.

Neither do you racist assholes lies get to dictate policy and curriculum

Your racism and lies will kill your evil party dead

I have to wait until next election for proof?

For proof of my point.

I show you evidence and you find ways to discount it so we’ll just have to wait. As much as democrats rely on urban woman I’d be careful about pissing them off.

Press on lol. I want them to lose anyway.
