Religion Is A Sickness

Hello Dutch Uncle,

Sounds like something little known American hero Alfred Lee Loomis might have worked on.
Loomis was mechanical, Skinner was the founder of Behaviorism. He was about behaviorally modifying the behavior of living organisms through their own natural programming limits.

The dogs you mentioned are an example. They smell as part of their nature but connecting a specific smell to a specific response (e.g. an alert) requires "behavioral modification". Training. Some dogs learn quicker than others and some breeds are better at it (look at the length of their noses for one clue). All have to be taught how to use that in the manner the human desires.

Male pigeons weren’t even distracted by being strapped in next to females.

Damn, they must have been extremely well trained and very focused!

Pigeons are trainable and have their talents, but they're the bird equivalent of cows: Pretty fucking stupid in a lot of ways.

Here's a scenario: You're in a single-engine airplane at about 1000 feet when the engine quits. You options are trees and rocks, a pasture sprinkled with cows and another sprinkled with horses. All other factors being equal, which do you head for to land?

the pasture with horses. Horses are smart. They'll see you and run. Cows are fucking stupid. They'll stand there until you hit one. Pigeons are stupid too. :) Hitting trees and/or rocks in an aluminum and plastic tube at 100MPH is probable death or serious injury.

Without looking at the spoiler, I'd say the pasture with horses.... oh wait I see the spoiler there in the quote reply. LOL.

so you're saying that old lib'rul judges better retire in the next four years?.....

No, but I know others are..

In the end giving the RINO's all their judges didn't elicit a substantial return for trump, @ least as much as he had hoped..

Surely even a few could of just this once taken into consideration all that they owe trump & do the right thing.......:laugh:

It was a definitely a 1960s tech solution to child disciplinary problems.

Paddles in schools looked like cricket bats even though, at 12, I thought crickets were bugs.

Damn.. I can only recall the one time & it was a "yard stick" from what I recall...

It was no long drawn out thing, no lecture, just don't do that, wack wack.......

I can still recall why... (pretty stupid)

Hello Bill,

I think that will be the end result of religion - to take people out of the equation.

I can't recall exactly, but Jesus said something to the effect, regarding the law: the law was designed to serve the ppl, not the ppl serve the law....

Far to many seem to forget that

Agreed with the concept. Too bad too many people only care that the laws don't affect them.
