Robot roll call Impeachment

Pelosi said that she would not proceed unless there was bi-partisan support.

There is none...squat.

Did she lie? Claro que si.She did ...and will lose,in the Senate.

She won’t be a liar till they vote lol.

I’m still not convinced they will.

Hello dukkha,

Oh, so nobody can state they are enjoying the passage of time without adding in the same breath that James Taylor used those same words in a song?

And are you equally stoked about reminding conservatives of this are you are liberals?

Or perhaps that's not something many conservatives are heard talking about...
since you are clueless.

The phrase 'passage of time' is not in quotes as it's a common phrase. "enjoy the passage of time" would get quotes or (sic) since it's being referred back to as as a specific phrase in our discussion.

But directly ripping off an entire line from lyric ( and I've seen you use it before) must have an attribution
Which is what I called you out on, and which you keep dodging instead of simply agreeing to and not doing it again

Hello Darth,

Well again, you can type a thousand words about Trump being guilty but that doesn’t make it so.

IF Trump is guilty that will be decided in a Senate trial. Or if Democrats do the necessary work—and take the time to establish Trump’s guilt.

‘That Trump might steal another election’ isn’t a satisfactory answer.

I don't think Trump stole the 2016 election. I think Putin installed him.

Well, if you think that you are officially a conspiracy theorist lol.

Look at the new NPR poll:

Those poll numbers should be more like [at least] 60% in favor of impeachment for it to be legitimate by historical standards. Worse than that, Democrats are upside down on it.

It’s a political loser for democrats and worse than that—it will just further divide the country.

Maybe it’s a good thing they haven’t voted yet.

Look. We have to have an understanding here. I don't talk about you, you don't talk about me. If we don't have that, there is no point in talking, OK? When you're writing a post to me, your danger words are 'You are ..." If you find yourself writing that in a post to me, that needs to be a warning signal. If you post it, we are not going to be talking any more. That's it, not kidding. Many posters have not been given another chance like this. I hope you heed these words wisely. Otherwise, well, it has been interesting; and I appreciate the insight into your thinking.

Trump is being impeached for good reason. What he did goes beyond what Nixon did.

Big difference. Back then we didn't have Fox News, and we didn't have two-bit media posers on the internet. All the channels had pretty much the same story.

Nixon tried to rig an election using domestic crooks.

Trump tried to rig an election by enticing foreign intervention. That's worse. Not only did he try to rig the election, his scheme involved bribing a foreign official with already appropriated money. And then he tried to cover it up, and then he did not cooperate with the House, which is tasked with overseeing his actions by the Constitution. He abused his power and he obstructed Congress. He is guilty. The only way history will look kindly on Trump in this is if history gets it wrong.

We have already seen so much evidence at this point there is little Trump could come up with to dispute it. The events happened. They benefited Trump. Only he was in a position to make these things happen. He is totally guilty and nothing can change that. A proper and just Senate trial at this point would be nothing but a formality. Nothing about Biden can justify what Trump did. If Trump had a defense he would have brought it by now. He has nothing which changes what we know. He's guilty. We didn't ask for the timing. This all went into high gear the moment the scandal broke.

It is ridiculous to think somebody who didn't like an election would wait until the term of office had mostly already been served to try to undo the election. That's DUMB. Makes no sense.

All of the Republican Senators took an oath of office. They swore allegiance to the Constitution, not the President. They also swore that their allegiance to the Constitution would be 'without purpose of evasion.' That means if they have to choose between Trump or the Constitution, they are supposed to be loyal to the Constitution.

President Trump tried to bring foreign intervention into our election. That violates the Constitution, which means Senators of any party are supposed to choose the Constitution over anybody who would try to rig our elections. Election-rigging is NOT in the Constitution.

If any Senator defends Trump and fails to recognize convincing evidence against him, then that is breaking their oath of office to support the Constitution.

What some people believe and the facts of the case are two different things. Polls will also show you that most Americans couldn't name the three branches of government. The facts of this case are not changed by a popularity contest, which btw, if you haven't noticed, Trump is not very popular.

He's nasty!

People don't like him.

Why some people support someone they don't like is a mystery.

Trump is guilty. The evidence shows it.

^ Beyond severe TDS. Appears to be a complete and total nervous breakdown. Probably irreversible.

There is a mountain of evidence.
Where?
..and almost all of it is persuasive.
You have to have evidence before it is persuasive.
...except to people who are unwilling to even acknowledge it is evidence.
What evidence? For what?
If all this stuff had been done by former President Obama rather than Trump...people like you would have no trouble seeing it as persuasive evidence that Trump attempted to extort President Zelensky.
He never extorted or attempted to extort Zelensky or the Ukraniian government. Biden DID export the Ukranian government though, as least by his own admission. He even got Obama to help him.
I can only hope that some day you realize what a horrible mistake you are making in defending Trump and his nonsense...
You are making yet another inversion fallacy. Biden extorted the Ukrainian government, not Trump.

Doesn't say a thing about it.

It says that Pelosi is telling her caucus to vote the way they want...which means they can take into account how the vote will impact them in the next election.

The Republicans are doing the same. The Republicans have a gun held to their heads...and are doing what their Dear Leader demands.

Trump is not holding a gun to anyone.

No...it means that some Democrats have managed to take over Red districts...and don't want to lose them.

But...a significant number of voters ARE NOT buying what the Democrats are doing. They are the hard-core Trump supporters who would probably not be bothered if Trump shot someone on Fifth Avenue...or tortured puppies on the White House lawn.

So you are correct that a significant number of voters are not agreeing with the Democrats...

...but the "skittishness" is not, in my opinion, occasioned by that.

Extreme argument fallacy. Bigotry.

Don't trouble your head about it. It is invisible to you.

Stow the rest of this nonsense where you stow your brains.

You have to have evidence before it is persuasive.

What evidence? For what?
