Can a mother (parent) be required to have a blood transfusion for her child if it will die without the transfusion even if it is against the religious beliefs of the parent?

Can the parent be required to get a vaccine shot for her child if there is danger it could catch the disease and die without the vaccine?

can a parent sacrifice a child to a virgin goat if that is what their religion says to do if the child is naughty?

If the child is not sacrificed to a goat there is no harm to the child. If the child does not get a blood transfusion he will die.

Freedom of religion does not allow you to break secular laws unless there will be no harm if a person/group is exempted from that law. Exemptions from blood transfusion will result in harm to the child.
 
Since I can't read any of the comments, here, I'll just continue to use this thread to call Clarence Thomas a tap dancing, watermelon eating Uncle Tom.
