The Deplorable Blue Collars, truckers, farmers, smelly Walmarters & bitter clingers

Eh, not always true.
There are wealthy who don't work, and just rely on stocks to generate wealth.

Also what a CEO does is mostly negative, looking to gouge the system at our expense to maximize profits & stocks.
A great cause for outsourcing, automation, H2B Visas & Illegals hired.

Also the working poor can exist,

And yes there are many with disabilities who can't work, including Veterans.

And those with disabilities aren't required to work for the SNAP and Medicaid. They are also entitled to Social Security disability payments and veterans also receive and medical help.

The working poor do exist and also qualify for SNAP, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credit, housing, WIC, Pell Grants, etc. Those already working are waived from the work requirements for SNAP and Medicaid.

The wealthy who don't work don't get SNAP and Medicaid so they aren't required to work.

Most of your paycheck taken out go to those who shouldn't have to work.

The elderly's retirement, kids schooling, the disabled & Veterans.

I guess Repubs like picking on the elderly, children, the disabled & veterans.

The system you think was so good allowed government to pick winners and losers and those corporations getting charters often had political ties to government officials. Those that had their charters pulled because they did not act in the "public interest" meant the owners supported the other political party. Regulations were often imposed to limit competition.

I'm not a Republican---simplistic assumption on your part. But I haven't seen Republicans cut any of those programs--they continue to grow regardless of the party in power.

Well, IDK.
Walmart, Amazon & McDonald's are doing a lot more damage than Rockerfeller did.

Teddy Roosevelt one of the good Repubs trustbusted StandardOill by Rockerfeller.

Who's going to stand up now?

There's a big difference between a rich person losing their 10th home.
&
Middle class losing their only home & going to a food pantry.

Of course it is, but that does not negate my statement that the wealthiest lost the most in the stock market losses in 2008 and 2020.

And you think there is a contradiction in the wealthy paying most of the taxes and me also paying taxes? It is still a lot of money for me since I will owe about $18,000 this year. That is a lot of food stamps.

"That's a lot of corporate welfare to preserve artificially low wages", is what you should be saying here.

Corporations and the wealthy are at least working for their money.

Yes, it was such real hard work for Kelly Loeffler and her NYSE-President husband to dump millions in stock after being briefed about the severity of this in January/February while lying to the American people.

Flash thinks that's "working for their money".

Yes, it's a lot of work to sell stock ahead of a market collapse using information your status and privilege provided you, that you chose not to share with anyone else.

Yes. Hard work. MMmmm. Yes. Totally. I see it.

People currently losing their jobs is a rare situation. Before the crisis unemployment was only 3.8%. There was no reason a person who "couldn't" find a job and collecting benefits couldn't work--you are always telling us we need infrastructure spending.

Flash, because your world is very narrow and limited, you have no contact or anything to do with the people you are making huge assumptions of when it comes to this. You've already said you have no empathy and don't care about them...so how can you possibly know or understand their circumstances when you're physically and mentally incapable of doing so.

3.8% unemployment you say? Well, it's not that anymore, and Trump had broken Obama's streak of monthly job growth before all this. Now that 17 million people lost their jobs and health care because you enabled this depraved administration with your BoThSiDeRiSm, your "moderation" has led to the biggest job loss in the history of the country.

You get to own that.

Why couldn't a SNAP or Medicaid recipient work at a food bank, homeless shelter, women's shelter?--this would show that empathy you are always harping about; yet, you would deprive those people of workers to help them with their problems.

Because those places are largely volunteer-based, and don't exist in many places at all.

But it's interesting to see how much you tie your own self-worth to employment. Which means if you lost your job tomorrow, you'd probably kill yourself because you would assess your own self worth as nothing.

My point is that you don't need a job to determine your self-worth, Flash. You're pretty worthless regardless of your employment situation.

This is the funniest fucking thing you've ever written Flash, and you've written some real humdingers in your time here.

Funny but true. A person sits at home getting SNAP and Medicaid and is healthy, able-bodied, and has not dependents to take care of. The government asks that person to work a certain number of hours per week. That is somehow cruel but people who work and pay for these benefits are the bad guys.

This is the view of those who want to see the world in simplistic terms and thinking they are the good people and others are bad and the cause of any problems in the world. This allows them to feel good about themselves and vent their anger at others.

As usual, you quit discussing anything of substance and turn to personal insults

So Flash, here's what you do constantly...

You screech and whine and bitch about other people making assumptions and following those assumptions through to their conclusions. But then you turn right around and make ludicrous assumptions of people you have nothing to do with, have no contact with, and know nothing about because you have it in your head that the only way to value yourself is through labor. So what that means is that if you aren't employing your labor, your person has no value or worth. And that makes it so much easier for you to get comfortable with the austere nonsense you mistake for virtue.

Your moral compass is broken, and I don't think it can ever be fixed.

Most of your paycheck taken out go to those who shouldn't have to work.
WRONG. Most taxes taken out from a paycheck go to pay for government bureaucrats. Only a tiny portion (by comparison) is taken out to support SSA. NONE is taken out to support schools, except for States with income taxes that fund their schools (usually a very small amount is taken in that case).
The elderly's retirement, kids schooling, the disabled & Veterans.
You really should look at your paycheck sometime. You really should pay attention to your withholding rates sometime.
I guess Repubs like picking on the elderly, children, the disabled & veterans.
Bigotry.
