"Trump berates Red Hen after restaurant "

absolutely absurd on your part. "Abuse of power" by a Tweet ??
WTF is wrong with your understanding of power of Office.. Nobody was threatened, it was a simple call out
on unacceptable , uncivil behavior.

Trump was speaking to support his staff - a federal employee -for going out to a restaurant.
He has every right to do so,and I personally think he should speak out.

Not with violence or threats, or over nothing -but because Americans are supposed to allow people to go about their business without goon like behaviors over where they eat.

Oh, so you don't see any problem with the President of the Nation, the most powerful person in the world, the individual who is suppose to be the leader of all Americans, take time to single out individual private citizens in the country and use his office to berate them because a few people who work for him couldn't eat at that restaurant?

I always thought a President was suppose to be above such petty behavior, least that is the way I got to believe the Founding Fathers designed it

Business as usual by trump-supporting scum...

Think so?

Is there any evidence that such treats were actually received, or that if they do exist, that they came from "trump-supporting scum"?

For all I know, you sent them using fake social media accounts. :D

Hello anatta,

No, I can't agree that they are doing a legit job when some of his decisions have been overturned by courts.

But as long as he holds that office, he does deserve the modicum of respect the office demands. That's why you won't hear me calling him names or making up things about him. And, really, there is no point in any of that. He provides a constant and rich treasure trove of material to criticize. Straightforward criticism of his actions is damning enough. And he deserves every word of it. He really generates so much controversy there are not enough hours in a day to mount all the criticism he deserves. I resign myself to simply pick out some of the more egregious examples and speak up for what is right.
any administration gets actions overturned, and when they get to SCOTUS ( Travel ban ) they more then likely get upheld.

Look I'm all for protest. I did my time at Vietnam anti-war rallies. Protests are a legit political action.
Speaking out is everyone's duty of conscience..etc.
but harassing people at their homes or in restaurants because you don't like their day job policies is beyond the pale

Perfect example of what I said about a conservative who will in the next breath will tell us they respect the traditions and principles of the Founding Fathers but here see no problem with the Chief Executive of the Nation berating individual private citizens

Trumpsters are teabaggers warmed over

You apparently have "always thought" and believed many things that may not be factual, anchovies.

so now you've backed down on the abuse of power meme?
About time.

The Founding Fathers said NOTHING about how a POTUS runs his presidency so long as it's
Constitutional ( Article II etc.) Learn up.

what you are advocating is letting the goons hassle people after their work hours because of their politics.
It's uncivilized and gauche . Speaking out against such boorish behavior is righteous..

PS we did a lot of this stuff during Vietnam, it was questionable back then but we did it because it was a war-
"exigent circumstances"

Now how sick that is?

Regardless of the circumstances, the most powerful individual in the world takes time out of his day to personally attack a small privately owned business in the United States. Not a corporation, nor a big player, not even a famous eatery, but a dinky little restaurant most likely only locals in the area even knew existed, but the President of the United States thinks it deserves to be personally attacked?

No events justify that complete abuse of authority, but it certainly says a lot about the shortcomings of the individual holding the postion and his interpretation of the office, certainly far from Jeffersonian

And just like economics, conservatives will tell us in the next breath they understand and respect tthe traditions and principles established by the Founding Fathers

You have to luv a PRESIDENT with the balls to stand up to any from of FASCISM and ignore the political hammer used by the left known as political correctness. Its about time we the people had a real man in office. The truth never hurt anyone. Why did the owner of a small business take time out of her precious day to kick out a member of the US PRESIDENTS STAFF because of politics? Who would be stupid enough to ATTACK and DECLARE WAR on the most powerful individual in the world...except a brain dead dimwit, assuming there would be no blowback when she sought her 15 min. of fame? Megalomanics…..all. So arrogant, so elitist, so inbreeded they are STUPID. Have you seen the pics? Pink wearing social warriors out to save the world....as long as the world is filled with social leftists. I hate bigots.

:rofl2:

I see no death threats on Yelp, Christiecrite. Nor do I see any evidence that any reviews are submitted by "trump-supporting scum".

I did see some that seemed to be authored by people supporting the actions of that "other Red Hen".

Maybe you "forgot" to mention those.

Poor anchovies.

Sarah supporters to a patron of the Red Hen who defended it.

Photos for The Red Hen

Their menu is simple and classic. Just well prepared food with great ingredients. The restaurant is comfortable and the service is good. Don't let people deter you from visiting because the owners took a stand.

If more people had morals and stood up for what's right in this country, the current administration would not exist. To the owners of The Red Hen,thank you for being true Patriots and true Americans. You have a right to refuse service to evil people.

Sidenote: I love how people who support this administration pretend to take the moral high ground, but send me messages telling me to kill myself and threatening me (see pics)...over a Yelp review lol. Seriously? Hilarious that I'm not even a Democrat. Just someone with brains and a heart. Keep messaging and I'll keep reporting you to Yelp. It's an honor to have your hate because I'd be alarmed if people like you agreed with me on anything.

Methinks a small and otherwise unknown restaurant just got international recognition.

Trump just provided them with free brand recognition.

LOL absolutely
It will become a liberal destination: A meeting place for the resistance.

We may see a splinter party in the democrats called the Red Hen Democrats. She was already an internet hero, now it'll make the news cycle and she'll get even more press and people will flock there to join the others in the cause to oust president BigMac. The articles of impeachment could likely be drawn up on on one of her dining tables. This is so exciting! History in the making!

Where did I say the death threats were on Yelp?

I don't recall stating an opinion regarding "the traditions and principles of the Founding Fathers", anchovies.

Nor do I recall any prohibition against "Chief Executive of the Nation berating individual private citizens".

Beautiful, no prohibition, just principle, something seemingly lacking from conservatives these days, traditionally the President of the Country doesn't use his power or position to degrade individual private citizens especially those with no stake in the game, a bit beneath the office of President let alone displays a total lack of class

Being President ain't Celebrity Apprentice

Its times like this that its good to have friends with WHITE HOODIES and TORCHES.....I wonder what the left would do if a US CONGRESSMAN went on TV and suggested the KKK (supposed Trump supporters) take a little demonstration to the RED HEN in VA? The way a democrat congress person...idiot (low IQ MAXINE) suggested to friends of her party (Antifa...the anti-LMAO:laugh:fascit movement) anytime they saw a Trump team member in public? Nothing fascist about prompting violence and harassment in public. Might as well have a book burning party (History Books and Bibles)….your fascist party has already began destroying historical monuments....just like HITLER and STALIN did.

You aren't the arbiter of propriety, anchovies.

If you don't like Trump, ask yourself why DEMOCRATS allowed Dirty Debbie's DNC to collude with the crooked Clinton campaign to cheat Bernie.

Your still missing the point

I didn't back down on the abuse of power, if Donald was still a reality TV actor would he have gotten the attention he got when he personally berated a small restaurant in Virginia? He employed his position and power, and did it to attack individual citizens in the United States, the same people he is suppose to represent

And no, the Founding Fathers never authored anything about how the President should handle affairs, but they implied in creating a Chief Executive that the holder of that office would be above petty personal attacks, especially against individual citizens of no relevance to his office
