They've been asking help for years now. Remember when Obama and Governor Brewer had it out over this? IMO, Obama was telling the border governors to put 10 pounds of shit into a 5 pound bag. Brewer decided to supply a second bag using Arizona resources. The Feds objected.

Get real. Nobody, quite literally NOBODY, is paying attention to what Harris says on the border issue. She has been totally ineffective on it. Show one actual documented result she's achieved to reduce the number of crossings. That's going to be difficult since they've steadily risen...

Only if the US decides that they face a "credible threat" do they need be granted a hearing. No one is entitled to one automatically. And, criminal activity, poverty, and economic hardship are not reasons to grant asylum. That means basically anyone coming from Mexico, Central, or South America shouldn't qualify except possibly from Venezuela...
