Opie thinks COVID is no worse than the flu and that masks don't work. He's had several threads on the subject....some of which he's asked to be closed because they proved to be too personally embarrassing for a self-proclaimed medical expert.
The US Navy had to sideline a deployed aircraft carrier because of COVID. I fail to see how the services are not ensuring all of their personnel are properly vaccinated since it's a matter of national defense.

Hopefully it is a matter of supply and nothing more. The National Guard folks who administered ours had all had their vaccines. I asked.
All of which means something is amiss here. A clue was an earlier statement about the difficulty of military personnel to receive their vaccination. This stymies me because it should be as easy as holding a morning formation for each unit.

The ingredients, methodology and scientific/biological knowledge used to produce the vaccine have been used in vaccine production in the past and as such, the FDA has every reason to have high confidence in the soundness of the science.
The science behind vaccine production has become pretty standardized over the decades that vaccines have been being produced with the main variant being the virus itself.
Once they isolate the virus and take non-reproducing the part they need to activate the human body's immune system, it's S.O.P. after that.
Hint: the building part is novel and a kind of gene therapy.

They know about the lingering Covid problems and they are substantial. Almost 600,000 Americans died from it. Those are knowns that are real. A speculation about the vaccine does not overpower what is real. This is an easy and logical decision. Get the shot as soon as you can.
