Travel by Air
To travel by plane within the United States, undocumented immigrants and their families may present one of the following documents:

State identification document
State driver’s license
Foreign passport
As of May 3, 2023, border patrol authorities at airports will only accept REAL ID driver’s licenses and identification documents. Additionally, if you are entering the U.S. with a foreign passport, border patrol officers are likely to question you about what you are doing here.

To have these documents, you must show that you are in the country legally. That is, after May 3, 2023, you will only be able to get on a plane using your foreign passport.

If you want to travel outside of the United States, you can’t use your state identification document or driver’s license. You can only board the plane for an international flight with your passport.

I have to check when my stuff expires.

Hello Phantasmal,

If people were like Cypress and myself, there would be no war.

Add me to that list. My litmus test for deciding if something is really OK to do is asking: "What if everyone did that?" "Is that good for the world or not."

Wars are begun by leaders. Most people, no matter what country they're in, they just want to live and let live. Why start trouble or mess with other people? It's not logical. Rich powerful leaders start wars. Poor powerless followers are always the ones to die.

Being an armchair warrior on an obscure message board is a highly venerated tradition.

And one of the small joys of the Internet; finding out what every frickin' moron on the planet thinks about geopolitics and military strategy.

Two main things: resources and religions. Nowadays it seems to be all about money.

You left off military ID.

Hello Jack,

You don't have to fear 'the majority' of people. You have to fear the 'Minority' that want to impose their Will upon everyone else.
You are right, you will never die a Warrior, you will die on your knees.

Everybody is never going to be a warrior, nor should they be.

The best fighters should fight.

The best people at doing all the other things that are worth fighting for should do what they do best.

what does that mean?
Truman had a duty to end the war. it was a WORLD WAR, the alternative was invading Japan
is that the skin you mean?

My take is that she was highlighting the fact that some Deplorable scolded me for not understanding how evil the Japanese were and how they got what was coming to them -- when in fact my parents, aunt, and grandparents lived under a Japanese military occupation.

The moral of the story is that armchair warriors comfortably ensconced in their recliner are often the first to holler about nuking Mecca or Tokyo.

That's a copy and paste.

Well, it's true, a military ID works for air travel. In fact, it can substitute for a passport depending on the status of forces agreements that the US has with other nations. For example, you can enter almost all European countries on just a military ID--no passport needed. That's because the US has an agreement to allow members of those nation's militaries travel just as US military members can. It's supposed to be for transit or service / duty purposes, but only very rarely does anyone bother to check that.

Thus, I can go into Mexico and use my military ID to reenter the US, no passport needed for example. I suspect the same is true for Canada.

Typical warmonger

I am proud that, unlike Obama, Trump started no wars in his first term.

He even orchestrated unprecedented peace treaties between Israel and their Jihadist neighbors.

In the case of your pacifism, if you act as a pacifist without protecting your self or your country or it's citizens, someone who is not a pacifist will eventually tell you what to do and you will have two choices.

Obey or Disobey

And unless you have a provision in your philosophy to fight back effectively, you will lose.

Switzerland's neutrality is enforced by a potent military.

Gandhi's kind of pacifism only works to make a government have to choose between working peacefully with the populace or trying to govern a violently hostile population set off by the government's killing(s) of pacifist martyrs (like yourself?).

so why did we strike Assad over chem weapons ( and that is disputed) but not barrel bombs?
Assad - like Qadaffi- ALSO warned his country would be run over by terrorists -but we called him a terrorist?
Assad was the best choice of all bad choices. The best choice is to get out and leave it to the Russians

The Chemical Weapons were Internationally Banned Weapons since WW1.
The Barrel Bombs were not banned weapons.
Since the wind would carry the deadly chemicals in any direction, it was pretty cruel. It was a good instance to enforce International Law.

Assad may or may not be 'the best choice'.
But a 'Syrian Kurdistan' (like the 'Iraqi Kurdistan') would be a good investment for 'Western Values'. Rojava, a region where the Religious Nut Jobs aren't in charge.

"The Rojava conflict, also known as the Rojava revolution, is a political upheaval and military conflict taking place in northern Syria, known among Kurds as Western Kurdistan or Rojava."

My take is that she was highlighting the fact that some Deplorable scolded me for not understanding how evil the Japanese were and how they got what was coming to them.

That thinking is what put the Japanese in the internment camps and it is a blight on American history.

:hand: :hand: :hand:

I recall a quote that expresses that in a similar way. Something about old men start wars and send young men to die in them.

I am not surprised. I know that some immigrants have or are serving in the US military.

You are confused, Jack. Where did I "express myself" regarding your deflection to Syria? You already dodged that question once, want to go for #2?

For someone who wants the U.S. to be the world's policeman, you've been awfully coy about your own service in the armed forces. Typical of someone who never served, you're fine with using other ppl to keep you safe at home where you can scold others for their imagined beliefs.

:) Oh Pumpkin. I remember having this discussion with you before. Is your selective amnesia kicking in?
