It was in the sense that NY state changed their laws specifically to create a wind to allow this case to come forward at all, and in doing that colluded with anti-Trump parties to make it happen.
It is pretty egregious that a state run by Trump hating Leftists would deliberately collude to use the legal system in an attempt to cripple and stop their political opposition, but that IS how the Left rolls worldwide.

In the E Jean Carroll case, it was a civil suit. There was no "guilty" verdict, just one of being libel.
This has nothing to do with the president of the United States using his own DOJ to attack a woman he raped. Also has nothing to do with the "merits" of DOJ's case against Carroll.
It's 100% egregious that trump is using our tax dollars to go after his own personal enemies. It's an unprecedented abuse of presidential power. The fact you're ignoring that shows what an idiot and total pile of shit you've become.

E Jean Carroll filed her defamation suit in Nov of 2019.
The Adult Survivors Act was passed in May of 2022. After the act passed Carroll filed a second suit for sexual battery and further defamation.
Because the first suit was on appeal as to whether Trump defamed Carroll as a federal employee, the second suit went to trial first.
Carroll only received 2.02 million for the sexual assault. Between the two cases she received 84 million for the defamation.
The jury would have to have found that Trump had sexually assaulted Carroll for the defamation to have occurred since truth is a defense in defamation trials. The passage of the ASA didn't change the facts of the case, it only allowed Carroll to collect damages for the assault as well as the defamation.
Your inability to understand that Trump lost the defamation suits and would have lost them even if he hadn't been sued for sexual battery would indicate you are in a cult.
I want the bar associations to get serious and start taking these people license to practice law.

To be clear, a jury jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll and for defamation.
It was made clear that this finding of SEXUAL ABUSE was synonymous with RAPE and was only distinguished differently as NYS used an old and outdated definition that defined only penetration by penis as rape, while use of fingers and objects was not. In almost all other States and Federally Trump would have been found to have raped her as they used the more appropriate definition.
When Trump was then looking to sue E Jean for using the word rape and it went back to the Judge he then ruled that the jury found conduct that amounted to rape as many people understand the word, and thus Carroll’s public statements that Trump “raped” her were substantially true for purposes of the defamation claims.
Judge Kaplan later wrote that this did not mean Trump had been “cleared” of rape in the ordinary-language sense.

Trump was given a trial. He had all the advantages that money can buy in America. In no way was he cheated. He had more than a fair trial. He one slanted his way.
