I agree with much of this post .. except democrats are far FAR preferable to republicans .. and the necessary legislation that is requied is FAR more likely to come from democrats.

My reply to that was in the post you just quoted, proving you have no intention of actually reading and understanding what I have to say. No surprise. You're right goddamn it, and everyone that disagrees with you on anything is automatically on the other team in your mind. Typical partisan hackery.

The irony here is when it comes to the actual issues, you might find we agree on quite a bit. My position here is just against the corporatization and monetization of a legitimate movement. A movement I support....or, did, before it became more about increasing profit for rich pigs than saving human lives. Corporate "activism" only creates winners out of the wealthy. Please understand this. For the record, this...this right here is why I laugh off the idea Democrats are any sort of real leftists. Your nominee for 2016 was the former board director of Walmart and your "movement" is sponsored by Nike. Give me a fucking break. You're just as much part of the capitalist plutocratic power structure as the Republicans. You say Democrats are "far preferable" to Republicans, yet every day your party looks more and more like them.
